Compassion, Dignity, Justice, Excellence and Integrity for our patients, our families and our communities.
The nurses and caregivers of Providence Hospice and Homecare of Snohomish County have dedicated our lives to providing the highest quality care to our patients. But Providence has made it increasingly difficult to provide the care our patients deserve, because they are not listening to our concerns about the need for safe staffing, fair wages and a just contract.
The Sisters of Providence founded their first healthcare ministries over 160 years ago with the mission of bringing quality, compassionate care to all. They would be alarmed to see that Providence has become a giant corporation that is prioritizing executive pay, profits and expansion at the expense of patient care.
That’s why the caregivers of SEIU Healthcare 1199NW have launched ProvidenceHasLostItsWay.org, calling on Providence to return to the original core values of the Sisters: Compassion, Dignity, Justice, Excellence and Integrity for our patients, our families and our communities.
